Small towns' communities have learned to resolve internal conflicts
The news has been published: 24.07.2017
During July, a training course on reconciliation, conflict management and inclusion in local communities was implemented for residents of small towns near the Contact line and Grey zone.
The training course consisted of two separate trainings, the first of which was implemented in Sviatohirsk on July 01-03. Participants received the understanding through analyses of the nature of conflict and its actors: their behaviour, motivations, psychology etc.
The second training took place in the beautiful city of Mariupol by the sea, on July 21-23. For three days, participants learned conflict management techniques and basic peer-to-peer training skills that will give them an opportunity to further transfer the acquired knowledge to their peers in local communities. Participants analysed questions, worked them out, planned, talked, shared thoughts and feelings, and debated. And in the evening, sitting on the beach, they shared their impressions of the day, personal experiences and just had rest and enjoyed the sea!
The training-course was implemented within the "Crisis prevention and Peace building in Ukraine – Time to Act!" project, supported with German Federal Foreign Office’s funds by IFA (Institut für Auslandsbeziehungen), Funding programme zivik.
