On April 11-14, the second part of conflict management training-course was implemented. As well as the first one, this module took place in Kramatorsk.
The trainers pointed out that the group consisted of participants of all ages, which made the process of mastering skills both difficult and interesting. According to the trainers, only four people were familiar with the peer-to-peer technique that was suggested at the event. Besides, it is important to realize that the elaboration of such complex topics as conflict management implies the need to approach all participants on the principles of equality and equivalence.
"Thanks to the trainers who facilitated the immersion process, the possible trauma of participants during the thematic blocks of the training was minimized. We were pleased by the participants' conscious responsibility for their own conditions and the conditions of those who would take part in their future mini-seminars. This resulted in the responsible choice and careful working-through of a trainer’s toolkit," the trainers emphasized.
Iryna Hambarian believes it’s important to preserve the diversity of participants by age, social status, and previous life experience.
"With proper training of the multipliers team, this leads to a unique synergy of cooperation, significantly increases performance and efficiency of the work, increases the group resourcefulness," the trainer said.
Olena Nabokova noted that the trainers’ support is very important for the participants.
"In the final part of the training, participants were offered the opportunity to seek the trainers’ advice and opinion for the timing and content of the planned event. Mention was also made that participants can use all the author’s tools made available by the trainer in their activities," the trainer emphasized
The training was implemented within the "Crisis prevention and Peace building in Ukraine – Time to Act!" project, supported with German Federal Foreign Office’s funds by IFA (Institut für Auslandsbeziehungen), Funding programme zivik.
