Joint steps towards peace in Ukraine: the work continues in 2020!

RUNY is pleased to announce the extension of the "Crisis prevention and Peace building in Ukraine – Time to Act!" project, supported with German Federal Foreign Office’s funds by IFA (Institut für Auslandsbeziehungen), funding programme zivik, to 2020.

The project contributes to the acquisition of knowledge on conflict management through the implementation of sustainable programs, that intend to modify the behaviour of target groups affected by the conflict in eastern Ukraine, their social inclusion, adaptation to peaceful life and integration into local communities. Thus, local community representatives will gain skills in conflict management, mediation and inclusion.

Besides, the project aims to facilitate the integration into local communities of internally displaced people who are stigmatized and discriminated against.

Employees of psychosocial support centres will improve their professional skills and will be able to work better with their target audience, which will contribute to better psychological recovery of those affected by the conflict.

Journalists will understand how hate speech in media content affects the escalation of conflict in eastern Ukraine, and will learn to avoid stigmatizing, discriminating and dehumanizing clichés in their materials.

NGOs will gain skills in networking / creation of coalitions and conducting advocacy campaigns.

The call for participation in project events will be announced in the near future!
