Creation of bodies of self-organization of population: in Kherson a training for representatives of local authorities was conducted

On December 27, Kherson hosted a training on the activities of bodies of self-organization of population for representatives of power authorities and local self-government bodies, persons responsible for implementation of local development programs, and employees of organizations involved in working with local government bodies.

Trainers:
- Yevhen Lebedev – expert of the Centre for Urban Development on working with local authorities and the creation of BSOPs.
- Luibov Lebedeva – stock market specialist, financial expert of the Centre for Urban Development.

We talked about the following:
- History of BSOPs. The main issues of the decentralization reform. Forms of civic associations and their functions
- Legislation of Ukraine in the field of BSOPs. Laws and bylaws. Advantages of BSOPs in accountable areas
- Optimization of the process of creation and registration of BSOPs, development and adoption of transparent rules for their activities
- Work with documents: protocols, regulations, financial statements
- Why do local authorities need BSOPs? Creation of a coordination center at the city council.

The training was implemented in coperation with German organization "Media in Cooperation and Transition" (MiCT) using the German Federal Foreign Office resources.
