Training for psychologists "Basic principles of providing psychosocial assistance in emergencies and crises" was implemented in Cherkasy on July 26-28. The trainers – Iryna Tkach, clinical psychologist, trauma therapist, and Olena Sudakova, a medical psychologist-psychotherapist, PhD in Psychology – helped participants to gain advanced knowledge and practical skills. This is the fourth training course on this topic, implemented in 2019.

The trainers noted that the main purpose of the training is to master the basic principles of psychosocial assistance in emergencies and crises, to deepen knowledge and acquire new skills.

"During the first day of the training, nine practical exercises and techniques were mastered. As a feedback, the group noted the importance of the topic and the dynamics of the dialogue in the group", the trainers stressed out.

They also pointed out that the second day of the training was rich with a practical-educational segment and was implemented by all the participants.

"During the training there were many clarifying questions from the group members, which is the evidence of the training topic relevance", the trainers Iryna Tkach and Olena Sudakova informed.

More of that, on the second day of the training participants learned 25 practical exercises and techniques, and eleven - on the third day of the training.

"The fact that the group was interested in the topic, as evidenced by clarifying questions, which helped to improve the dynamics and level of assimilation of the material, turned out to prove the positive effect", the trainers concluded.
