MOVING FORWARD - LET'S END VIOLENCE AGAINST WOMEN!

The project is dedicated to the international "16 Days of Action Against Gender Violence" campaign, which takes place annually from November 25 (International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women) till December 10, and covers most countries around the world.

The project consisted of a youth exchange on the topic of the campaign with the participation of young people from Ukraine, Czech Republic, Romania, Moldova and Belarus. For 16 days, they developed and implemented their own activities, which were covered in the local media and took part in national events organized by local activists. Thanks to the project, it was possible to provide a transnational dimension to this international campaign in Ukraine.

The main purpose of the exchange was to raise awareness of young people on the gender-based violence and to give them an understanding that this phenomenon needs to be combated in all countries and at all levels of the society. Participants had the opportunity to compare the situation in their home countries, share their own experiences and learn from others.

A wide range of non-formal education was used during the exchange, including group sessions, mini-lectures, debates, discussions, case studies and personal work.

The project was implemented under the Youth in Action program with the financial support of the European Commission.
