EVS PROJECTS

The projects of European Voluntary Service "ACTYVE.UA" and "NICE.UA" were aimed to involve 24 active young people from 11 EU countries as multipliers and promoters for the dissemination of the European values ​​in Ukraine and formation of communicational "bridges" between the youth of Europe and Ukraine.

The projects were aimed at social and personal development of participants, providing them with opportunities for intercultural learning, gaining new skills and abilities; and organizational and institutional development of hosting communities, encouraging local young people to show active civil position and to take part in the international partnership.

The main idea was to realize that a sustainable society provides free access of young people to education and information. But those living in small towns and rural areas often do not have such opportunities.

In the frames of the projects, volunteers from Europe, with the assistance of local communities, implemented a program of access to information for young people from rural areas, worked on the creation of new cultural, educational and ethical institutions and enhanced youth initiatives. Each of two projects took place during eight months in the Eastern regions of Ukraine.

The project was implemented under the Youth in Action program with the financial support of the European Commission.
