HELPING HAND: TOGETHER IN FUTURE

The project was aimed at overcoming the negative stereotypical perception of internally displaced persons by hosted communities’ members and their integration in communities’ life with the development of cooperation between them and locals.

During the project the awareness-raising campaigns were organized to draw public attention to the issue of IDPs to prevent their stigmatization and to create a mutual understanding in society of their needs and the importance of their inclusion in hosted communities.

There was also developed a platform for communications between IDPs and local power authorities to make this process more efficient and transparent.

As a result of the project, the level of unfounded negative stereotypical attitudes towards IDPs and their stigmatization was reduced, the positive mind-set of local communities’ representatives was formed and the integration of IDPs into hosting communities’ life has been deepened.
