YOUR SKILLS FOR DEMOCRACY

The awareness-raising project "Your Skills for Democracy" was aimed at making young people more influential and responsible part of the society by conducting an informational and educational campaign on elections as well as by encouraging youth to take part in it, providing them with skills of a responsible voter and showing the consequences of not participating in the election process.

During the project:

✔ youth leaders from Donetsk and Zaporizhia oblasts were educated as multipliers and learned to develop and conduct their own educational mini-projects on elections and the development of democracy in their communities;
✔ local media received knowledge to develop materials without prejudice or clichés, interesting to young people and promoting a responsible attitude to elections and democratic values;
✔ young people from small towns gained knowledge of civic responsibility, responsible attitude to elections and the importance of democratic values.

Due to the implementation of this project, young people became more involved in the democratic process and received a set of arguments for the development of democracy in their communities.
