RUNY unites people with proactive civil postion
Women's empowerment
Ukrainian legislation, despite the declared full support to the women's rights, is of purely declarative nature and has no real mechanisms for their implementation, nor the financial and organizational resources.
The major obstacles for gender equality in Ukraine are social stereotypes, that still consider women to be weak compared to men, and as those that play secondary role in social, political and economic life of the State; and the underdevelopped civil society, including the passivity of women's organizations and individuals in protecting their legitimate rights and freedoms.
Fairly common problems are, as well, domestic violence, prostitution and women trafficking. The most significant gender inequality is observed in two areas — labor \ self-employment and politics.
The activities of RUNY are aimed at overcoming all forms of women dicrimination in Ukraine; giving women equal opportunities in political, economic, cultural, social activities and other spheres, in education and professional work, receiving an equitable remuneration for it.
